Its the most wonderful time of the year.

Ah, the year end. Often a time for assessment on what didn’t quite go as planned in the year. This year, lets put all of that aside and think of what did go well (make a collage of happy thoughts as you’re reading this). Now smile. Yes, now multiply that feeling by 1000. That was how i felt when i wrote #sayang. The song embodies what i’ve been working so hard to achieve. I can’t even explain it. I hope you’ll get it when you hear it. That said, can’t wait for you to hear it.

I just have to share this with you guys. Andy Grammer is too brilliant to be gone unnoticed. Here’s one of my favorite songs from his self titled album. This song is called lunatic.

“Maybe i should care more about safety, but i can’t ignore or betray these voices singing, you can do this, you can do this, you are not a lunatic, crazy would be changing your mind.”

Dear ladies,
Seventeen: You've said girls should embrace their curves. Why did you think it important to make that statement?
Jennifer Lawrence: When I was playing Mystique in X-Men, I remember thinking, If I'm going to be naked in paint in front of the entire world, I'm going to look like a woman. I'm going to have curves and have boobs and have a butt. Because girls are going to look at that, and if I look like a scarecrow, they are going to think, Oh, that's normal. It's not normal. I'm just so sick of these young girls with diets. I remember when I was 13 and it was cool to pretend to have an eating disorder because there were rumors that Lindsay Lohan and Nicole Richie were anorexic. I thought it was crazy. I went home and told my mom, "Nobody's eating bread--I just had to finish everyone's burgers". I think it's really important for girls to have people to look up to and feel good about themselves.

"I think we’re thinking too much with a ‘haters gonna hate’ mentality, always protecting ourselves from the worst thing someone could say. Shoot high. Aim high. Haters gonna hate but lovers gonna love. Lovers gonna love is much more important and more integral to your life than haters hating. When you put on that shirt, when you wanna write that blog, when you wanna sing that song, or when you want to paint that painting, don’t think about haters gonna hate, think about lovers gonna love."

I remember quite vividly about 7 years ago, someone whom i looked up to a lot as a musician told me “you’re going to make it really big one day” after listening to me sing this song. At that point in time, no one could’ve known.

Still, the term “making it big” eludes me. Coined for the sole purpose of putting others on a pedestal. I don’t quite like being on top. I think it separates people.

Most of you guys probably won’t know the thunder cats, but at one point of time in my life, no one messed with kitties. No one.

"I’d love to teach kids songwriting, ‘cause I think that it’s a skill, it’s not really innate. I mean, you could have like sort of a gift, sort of a brain for writing a song, but I’d love to teach songwriting. That’s one of my dreams, I’d like to teach at Berklee College of Music in Boston, have office hours, develop inappropriate crushes on my students."
